Victor Varshavsky is a pioneer of automata theory, aperiodic (aka self-timed) circuits and systems <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Asynchronous_circuit\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Asynchronous_circuit\">https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Asynchronous_circuit<\/a>, and collective behaviour of automata.
