If in doubt, or to check for any other possibilities, get in contact with <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ncl.ac.uk\/astro-obs\/group\/\">members of academic staff<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Postdoctoral Research Associate Positions<\/strong><br>Are posted on <a href=\"https:\/\/jobs.ncl.ac.uk\/\"> Newcastle University Jobs<\/a> page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Postgraduate Student Opportunities<\/strong><br><em>Self-funded MPhil or PhD students can <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncl.ac.uk\/postgraduate\/courses\/draft\/apply\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">apply<\/a> at any time<\/em>. It is strongly recommended to contact the <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ncl.ac.uk\/astro-obs\/group\/\">prospective advisors<\/a> in advance. If in doubt, just get in contact with the group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Lecturer Positions<\/strong><br>Faculty positions will be posted on the<a href=\"https:\/\/jobs.ncl.ac.uk\/\"> Newcastle University Jobs<\/a> page. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Research Fellowships<\/strong><br>The School of Mathematics, Statistics and Physics at Newcastle University welcomes applications for postdoctoral fellowships to be hosted here. The University is open to discussing the possibility for open-ended contracts at the end of long-term fellowships.<br><br>If you are interested in applying for either:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ukri.org\/what-we-do\/developing-people-and-skills\/stfc\/fellowships\/ernest-rutherford-fellowships\/\">STFC Ernest Rutherford Fellowship<\/a>, or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/royalsociety.org\/grants-schemes-awards\/grants\/university-research\/\">Royal Society University Research Fellowship<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>to be hosted at Newcastle University. Expressions of interest will be called for in June\/July 2026.
