N<\/strong>euro-Mandala\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

A poem <\/i>inspired by Anjali B <\/i>Purkayastha\u2019s<\/i> \u2018Home\u2019<\/i><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I can float here on these outlines of clouds<\/p>\n

unfilled, nested within borders, in teal<\/p>\n

self-led and self-reflected. There are no<\/p>\n

rainbows, only a sense of them<\/p>\n

mono-coloured bridges in green<\/p>\n

This is a topographical blueprint, a web<\/p>\n

of destinies taking quantum leaps<\/p>\n

a microbial strain of my translucent blood<\/p>\n

separating neural pathways, left-right, right-left<\/p>\n

Shards strung together, bolted barbed wires<\/p>\n

a web of webs, a maze of mazes<\/p>\n

like the pattern of that peacock feather<\/p>\n

I collected from my grandfather\u2019s tin<\/p>\n

roofed veranda, singing a song<\/p>\n

whose words I could not understand<\/p>\n

A place I called home, the child I was<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Arpit<\/span><\/span><\/strong> is <\/span><\/span>an engineer, MBA by qualification and work<\/span><\/span>s<\/span><\/span> as a <\/span><\/span>Digital <\/span><\/span>General Manager in the technology industry. <\/span><\/span>He is<\/span><\/span> also pursuing <\/span><\/span>his<\/span><\/span> MA in Poetry Writing from The Poetry School\/Newcastle University. <\/span><\/span>He <\/span><\/span>live<\/span><\/span>s<\/span><\/span> in North London with <\/span><\/span>his<\/span><\/span> wife and two children. Originally from New Delhi, <\/span><\/span>he has been in the UK for the past 13<\/span><\/span> years.<\/span><\/span> He has read poetry at Keats House and on two radio shows at Resonance FM.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
