Anne Gill and Niamh O&#8217;Connell are going to take over from us in April\/May with the view that they are going to continue this online magazine next year when we are no longer students. Please give them all your support. Her poetry has featured in Strix,\u00a0<em>The Dizziness of Freedom Anthology,\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0others. She is as a member of the\u00a0Second City Poets.\u00a0Their first show,\u00a0<em>Playgrounds,\u00a0<\/em>is featuring at the Verve Poetry Festival.\u00a0She is a poetry submissions reader at Bare Fiction. Her first pamphlet is forthcoming in 2019 with Bad Betty Press.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_221\" style=\"width: 135px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-221\" class=\" wp-image-221\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ncl.ac.uk\/bridges\/files\/2019\/02\/Niamh-240x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"125\" height=\"154\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-221\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Niamh<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong>Niamh O\u2019Connell<\/strong> is an Irish poet, currently a student of the MA in Writing Poetry in Newcastle University. Her work has twice been featured in\u00a0<em>The Quarryman<\/em>, University College Cork\u2019s literary journal for students, staff, and alumni. Experimenting widely with traditional form, modern approaches, and contemporary topics she produces a diverse variety of work.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_222\" style=\"width: 186px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-222\" class=\" wp-image-222\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ncl.ac.uk\/bridges\/files\/2019\/02\/Rose-225x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"176\" height=\"232\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-222\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Rose<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Born in Athens, Greece, raised in Vienna, Austria, and now UK based writer,<strong>Rose\u00a0<\/strong><strong>McLean<\/strong> is finally fulfilling her dream of doing an MA in Creative Writing at Newcastle University.\u00a0When she is not busy having emotional meltdowns over fictional characters (both her own and other\u00a0people\u2019s), she loves reading, weird cinema and bopping to kpop.
