\nit had perched, like a bird, ominous,
\nthe black figure, that sits in my chest,
\npiecing itself a home,
\ntwig by twig, scrap by scrap,
\nmy heart: her barn, her roof top, her part of the tree to claim,
\nhow she settles there, uninvited,
\nshedding feathers, the blackness
\nof\u00a0her body seeps into mine,
\ntill\u00a0her beak claws away at the pink tender flesh
\ntearing me apart,
\nshe spreads her wings,\u00a0 a muster of hope \u2013
\nAlas!\u00a0her\u00a0talons have cut so deep,
\nalready\u00a0left her mark.<\/p>\n
