We were also joined for the day by local historian, Mike Jackson, who has been very generous in sharing his research with us on the Bewcastle area. Today, however, we took him over the work we have done so far to the south of Bewcastle, and we spent the time walking long boundaries, finding shielings and farmsteads and, most particularly, new rock art sites.
