In order to challenge the dominant narrative and provoke a conversation publicly this presentation was delivered to different audiences including the North East Labour History Society, Heaton History Group and the ships company at HMS Calliope.
The presentations were followed by discussion and questions. The different audiences provided a variety of responses and questions as everybody resonated with the research and their connection to Elswick in a different way.
