About Me

An Insight into me

I’m an undergraduate at Newcastle University and I’m a foundation year student studying Electrical and Computer engineering. Originally, I’m from Manchester and to save the all-important question, I’m a Manchester City fan.

I take a big interest in computing so choosing my course was a ‘no brainer’. I take this interest because it’s no secret that technology is the future and I find it fascinating how rapid the industry is innovating and growing. Hopefully coming out of my degree I want to get into a job which involves cyber security as since I was young I always wanted to go into the army so going into a type of security with something that I love seems the best way forward.

I chose Newcastle because a lot of my friends were coming up North to Uni but not necessarily Newcastle. This allowed me to make new friends while also not being too far away from my old friends. Another attractive thing about Newcastle is the notorious nightlife that never fails to be an amazing night. Possibly the most surprising thing about being here is the weather. I’d heard that it’s cold up here but I wasn’t expecting it to be this cold. It still amazes me how I see people every day in shorts and t-shirts when I’m all wrapped up.
