But increasingly we are aware that the clinic is not always aligned to what patients might actually want or feel. The ACHD team in Newcastle have joined the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.approach-is.net\">Approach IS II <\/a>study lead by <a href=\"https:\/\/philipmoons.weebly.com\">Philip Moons<\/a> in Belgium.&nbsp;This international study will explore how&nbsp;patient-reported outcome measures&nbsp;(PROMs) and patient-reported experience measures&nbsp;(PREMs), differ between patients in different countries and also try to identify the healthcare needs&nbsp;of older adults with congenital heart disease, who may be quite frail.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To find out more&nbsp;contact <a href=\"mailto:louise.coats@newcastle.ac.uk\">louise.coats@newcastle.ac.uk<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The physical and emotional long-term effects of having CHD are usually seen from the medical viewpoint.
