At NuTH CRD our infrastructure includes the NIHR Clinical Research Facility, the Sir Bobby Robson Cancer Trials Research Centre, and close links with the Biomedical Research Centre, enabling both early-phase and large-scale trials across a wide range of conditions.
We have over 400 dedicated research staff working across clinical specialties and embedding research into everyday care. Through our Public Partnership work we aim to ensure:
- All patients are aware of the value of clinical research and the benefits of research participation.
- All patients will be routinely invited to participate in relevant clinical research.
- Patients will be involved in the development, design and planning of research activities.
- All research participants will have the opportunity to share their experience of research, and feedback will drive improvements.
