Meet our members: NIHR Research Support Service Hub delivered by Newcastle University and Partners

The NIHR Research Support Service (RSS) Hub delivered by Newcastle University and Partners provides free and confidential advice to help people develop a research project and apply for research funding. We also offer post-award advice.

We support people developing clinical, applied health and social care research funding applications, including researchers based in the NHS, universities, local authorities or the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector.

We work closely with patients, carers, service users, members of the public and communities to make sure that your voices are driving and shaping health and care research from the earliest opportunity.

You can contact us to:

  • Get advice on designing and delivering a high-quality research project and funding application, from a range of research methodologists (people who can advise you on different research methods);
  • Get advice on patient and public involvement, and on developing and delivering inclusive research;
  • Get involved in shaping and sharing your views on research as a patient, carer, service user, member of the public or VCSE organisation.

Join the RSS Consumer Panel, join one of our lived experience groups, or simply let us know what you’re interested in and we’ll keep you updated about opportunities to shape research!
