NIHR Research Support Service (RSS) Hub delivered by Newcastle University and Partners <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The RSS offers free and confidential advice to help people develop health and care research projects and apply for research funding. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They work closely with the public, patients, carers and communities to make sure that your voices shape research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NIHR Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) North East and North Cumbria (NENC)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The NIHR ARC NENC is a research partnership funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research. It brings together researchers from six regional universities, practitioners from health and social care and the voluntary sector, community groups, members of the public, and many others \u2013 to deliver and implement research and evaluation that supports the health and care system in the North East and North Cumbria, and beyond. It is one of 15 ARCs in England.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NIHR Policy Research Unit Behavioural and Social Sciences (PRU BaSS)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The PRU BaSS is a team of independent scientific researchers funded as part of the NIHR Policy Research Programme (PRP) working in partnership with policy partners to delivery high quality, relevant, timely and accessible evidence for policy. The PRU BaSS specifically provides behavioural and social science evidence, theory and methods to support decision making. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Involvement@York at the University of York<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Involvement@York champions and supports public involvement and participatory approaches in research across the University of York. They make it easier for researchers and members of the public to work together to improve the reach, relevance, quality and impact of research at the University of York.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Newcastle Hospitals Trust Clinical Research Directorate<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Newcastle Hospitals Clinical Research Directorate (NuTH CRD) brings together research delivery teams, specialist facilities and the Newcastle Joint Research Office to support clinical research across the Trust. It drives the Trust\u2019s research strategy, enabling partnerships with universities, industry, and communities to deliver innovative studies that improve patient care and health outcomes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NIHR Newcastle Patient Safety Research Collaboration (PSRC)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The NIHR Newcastle PSRC is a pioneering patient safety research collaboration funded by the government and the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR).They work with patients, carers and the public to improve healthcare safety, particularly in areas where there are inequalities for those from disadvantaged communities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

NE Youth<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

NE Youth is a regional youth organisation providing direct services to young people and infrastructure support to more than 250 organisations. They work with thousands of young people each year across a diverse range of programmes and open access youth provision. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Voluntary Organisations\u2019 Network North East (VONNE)<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

VONNE is a regional organisation supporting the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They can help you to connect with a VCSE or research partner, and can offer support by sharing a research opportunity or output with their networks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Newcastle Health Research Partnership<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Newcastle Health Research Partnership (NHRP) is an Academic Health Science Centre (AHSC) bringing together partners in health and care research, innovation, education and training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NHRP work collaboratively to improve citizen health, address health inequalities and generate economic growth across the North East and North Cumbria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Young Person’s Advisory Group North England (YPAGne)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The YPAGne are a dedicated youth patient and public involvement and engagement group composed of young members aged 13-18 from across the North East region. The group bring a wealth of experience and perspectives to the table, actively assisting researchers in developing, designing and delivering impactful research projects. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fuse, the Centre for Translational research in Public Health<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Fuse brings together the six universities in the North East and North Cumbria of Durham, Cumbria, Newcastle, Northumbria, Sunderland and Teesside in a unique collaboration to deliver world-class public health research. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Patient and Public Engagement and Involvement in Musculoskeletal Research (PIMS)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

PIMS is involved with learning about the musculoskeletal research taking place in Newcastle Hospitals and having an input into what is done and how. The group are passionate that people with the conditions should be included in shaping the research about them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NIHR HealthTech Research Centre in Diagnostic and Technology Evaluation ( HRC DTE)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The NIHR HRC DTE supports the evaluation of new and better diagnostic tests and technologies for the benefit of patients. The team work with innovators, academics, NHS clinicians, patients and the wider public to gather the evidence that is needed for a new diagnostic approach to be adopted by the NHS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
