Description
During this week’s course, Dr. Dinara introduced us to the structure, evaluation method and learning philosophy of the entire module. We learned that we would complete a digital entrepreneurship proposal as a team and write a personal reflection log every week. After class, I browsed the teaching resources of the Canvas platform. I tried to register for a WordPress account to get a preliminary understanding of how to build a personal reflection blog.
Feelings
I am very interested in the course’s design oriented towards “practice-driven + sustainable development”. The combination of “digital business + SDGs” makes me feel fresh and challenged. But at the same time, I also feel some anxiety, which is because I am not familiar with the WordPress platform’s operation.
Evaluation
The module’s structure is clear, enabling me to enter the learning state quickly. For example, the task of “creating a team slogan and logo” aroused my interest in building a sense of team identity. However, I encountered some technical obstacles when using WordPress, such as not knowing how to organise and publish reflective content. Through this course, I understand how to use digital platforms to improve work efficiency. This also lays the foundation for future career development. I plan to apply these learning outcomes to my future work, especially in leadership and cross-departmental collaboration.
Analysis
I realised that the root cause of the confusion was that I was accustomed to the traditional academic writing mode. However, reflective writing requires more attention to “process experience” and “self-criticism”. Fortunately, the Gibbs model and Driscoll model introduced in the course provided me with a path for structured thinking (Moon, 2004). In addition, I also realised that team building is the starting point for project success. Early communication, consensus and goal coordination are crucial in teamwork (Tuckman, 1965).
Conclusion
Through the first week of study, I mastered the basic operation of WordPress. I also initially established a logical framework for reflective writing. Early team formation and clear division of labour will play a positive role in subsequent learning tasks. Meanwhile, I also realise that teamwork and reflection skills are essential for future career development. Bates et al. (2019) proposed that self-awareness, communication and collaboration, and continuous learning are key dimensions for building transferable professional competencies. In a digital and sustainable business environment, these skills will help me better adapt to changes and achieve career growth in the future.
Action Plan
Next week, I will actively communicate with other students, form a team and prepare a “Team Introduction Slide”. In the process, I will continue to practice WordPress operations. I will also apply these digital skills in future work. At the same time, I also plan to study in depth “How to Write a Reflection Journal”. This will lay a solid foundation for my future career.
