This includes individuals with any long-term mental health conditions (e.g. depression, anxiety), physical health conditions (e.g. chronic fatigue syndrome, multiple sclerosis) and neurodiversities (e.g. autism, dyslexia, ADHD).<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The Disabilities Workstream currently runs a reflective space for Newcastle University DClinpsy trainees with disabilities; this is facilitated by a clinical psychologist who is not a member of the Newcastle University DClinPsy course team. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized is-style-rounded\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"582\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ncl.ac.uk\/dclinpsy\/files\/2024\/07\/Picture-1-1024x582.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-190\" style=\"width:628px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ncl.ac.uk\/dclinpsy\/files\/2024\/07\/Picture-1-1024x582.png 1024w, https:\/\/blogs.ncl.ac.uk\/dclinpsy\/files\/2024\/07\/Picture-1-300x170.png 300w, https:\/\/blogs.ncl.ac.uk\/dclinpsy\/files\/2024\/07\/Picture-1-768x436.png 768w, https:\/\/blogs.ncl.ac.uk\/dclinpsy\/files\/2024\/07\/Picture-1-1536x872.png 1536w, https:\/\/blogs.ncl.ac.uk\/dclinpsy\/files\/2024\/07\/Picture-1-2048x1163.png 2048w, https:\/\/blogs.ncl.ac.uk\/dclinpsy\/files\/2024\/07\/Picture-1-500x284.png 500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The Disabilities Workstream also hope to have their mentoring scheme up and running for the next academic year; the aim of the mentoring scheme is to provide support to aspiring trainees applying to DClinPsy programmes throughout the full application and interview process. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Ultimately, the Disabilities Workstream aims to support and promote inclusivity of those with disabilities within the profession.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-latest-posts__list wp-block-latest-posts\"><li><a class=\"wp-block-latest-posts__post-title\" href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ncl.ac.uk\/dclinpsy\/2024\/10\/18\/upcoming-student-wellbeing-events\/\">Upcoming Student Wellbeing Events<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a class=\"wp-block-latest-posts__post-title\" href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ncl.ac.uk\/dclinpsy\/2024\/10\/11\/disabilities-mentoring-scheme\/\">Disabilities Mentoring Scheme<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Disabilities Workstream The Disabilities Workstream aims to provide support to current and aspiring trainees with disabilities.
