For your information:
Friday 1.00pm to 2.00pm is not suitable for Muslim students, as they have an obligatory prayer at that time every week.
Could you please take this into your account when planning for future workshops.
Thanks.
Thanks for reminding us about this. We do try to take issues like this into account by arranging workshops on a range of different days – we’re aware that some times are not suitable for some people, but hopefully there is sufficient choice to enable you to come on an alternative day. There is such a long waiting list for Endnote workshops that we can’t afford to never run them on Fridays – if people who aren’t Muslims come then, this should leave more spaces on the alternative dates. Remember also that the workshops are open to all and a lot of university staff come to them as well. It also depends on when staff are free to run them. We usually choose lunchtimes, but will be interested to know what people think of us running workshops at different times eg starting at 8.30am, or in evenings or weekends (no promises, but if there is interest we can consider these options)
