For this exhibition, she has been delving into the legend of Sansuna, a Maltese megalithic giantess that is said to have built the ancient temples across Malta and Gozo. The story of Sansuna is not a very well-known one and will often change depending on who tells it. The key features of this tale are, Sansuna was a giant sized, ugly woman who mindlessly carried boulders across Malta while holding her child. Despite her size and strength, all this giantess ate was broad beans and honey. The only mention of this myth in any “credible” sources depicts Sansuna as a frumpy, ugly woman who was not appreciated despite all the hard work she had put into building these temples. Eden reimagines this tale and depict Sansuna as she should have been seen. The magnificent, independent, strong woman who had her own agenda and was uninterested in the opinions of others. Eden reimagines Sansuna without a child, in a world of her own where she is revered and respected for her skill in building these incredible temples and creating numerous artefacts.

<div
