Awards and Prizes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Ashley Reynolds and Eleanor Gordon were delighted to be announced winners of the \u2018Best Video Award\u2019 during the NU Teaching & Learning Conference<\/a> for their video \u2018Creating and using animations to explain concepts<\/a>\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Work done by the School of Dentistry and FMS TEL Team won first prize at the Trans-European Pedagogic Anatomical Research Group Hybrid Conference<\/a> this year, for the presentation on \u2018Adopting a flexible approach to professional anatomy spotter exams during COVID\u2019. 2022 Conferences<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For the second year running we ran our very own FMS TEL conference. We had sessions on Accessibility, Augmented Reality, Lab Teaching, Escape Rooms and more. The materials are available on the FMS TEL Conference 2022<\/a> page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Several members of the FMS TEL team also attended the NULT Conference this year, giving strong representation of the team. We delivered sessions on Developing audio commentated interviews<\/a>, Designing Convertible Teaching<\/a> and Using Canvas Commons<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year we showcased The FMS Workload Reporting System (WRS)<\/a> and the new Personal Tutoring Application<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We explored 3D scanners<\/a> and 360\u00b0 Cameras<\/a> and advanced our use of Canvas<\/a> and PowerPoint<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tips and Guides<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We did quick fix posts for Screen Sharing with Presenter View<\/a>, Additional scroll bars in canvas<\/a> and Searching Outlook Emails<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have shared guides on Captioning<\/a>, Transcription<\/a> and, how to improve teaching with Motion tracking in Recorded Presentations<\/a> and the use of timers in synchronous teaching<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Assessment and Feedback were important topics this year with posts on Instant Feedback<\/a>, Live Feedback<\/a>, Virtual Oral Presentations<\/a> and Effective Rubrics<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The blog is edited by a different FMS TEL team member every month, and many team members have taken on this task, as well as contributing posts to the blog – thank you to all of you!
