{"id":945,"date":"2021-09-16T12:49:23","date_gmt":"2021-09-16T11:49:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ncl.ac.uk\/fmstel\/?p=945"},"modified":"2021-09-20T10:29:12","modified_gmt":"2021-09-20T09:29:12","slug":"new-digital-exams-software-inspera","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ncl.ac.uk\/fmstel\/2021\/09\/16\/new-digital-exams-software-inspera\/","title":{"rendered":"New Digital Exams Software: Inspera"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/eur03.safelinks.protection.outlook.com\/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.inspera.com%2F&amp;data=04%7C01%7Cjohn.moss%40newcastle.ac.uk%7C650d65df0fb0429fd1f908d9739b1b16%7C9c5012c9b61644c2a91766814fbe3e87%7C1%7C0%7C637667932272137990%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C1000&amp;sdata=1JecUjdc9jtNnQIQlg1TKVYPZF%2F6FdvC7ghcSGlyOHQ%3D&amp;reserved=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Inspera Assessment<\/a> was selected as our digital exam system following a <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ncl.ac.uk\/ltdev\/2021\/08\/06\/announcing-inspera-assessment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">rigorous procurement process<\/a>, which began with requirements mapping workshops in February 2020, attended by over 60 academic and professional services staff. <\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>In 2021\/22 Inspera will be the standard tool for centrally supported digital exams, and will be used for all modules that have a present-in-person digital exam in MOFS (with the exception of any specialist digital exams that require Numbas). <\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Inspera will be available for additional new digital exams from 2022\/23 onwards. There will be opportunities during the academic year to see demonstrations of the software and learn more about the new types of assessment it makes possible. To discuss a potential new Inspera digital exam please contact <a href=\"mailto:digital.exams@newcastle.ac.uk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">digital.exams@newcastle.ac.uk<\/a>. <\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Further information on preparing for exams in 2021\/22 and the types of assessment possible with Inspera is now available on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncl.ac.uk\/learning-and-teaching\/digital-technologies\/inspera\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Inspera pages of the Learning and Teaching website<\/a>.
