I used to really enjoy going to the cinema, but now I’m lucky if I don’t have someone kicking the back of my chair, or talking throughout the entire movie, or checking their mobile phone in front of me so that I end up blinded every 2 minutes. When I was younger I wouldn’t dare disrupt someone’s viewing pleasure, it would be more than my life was worth where my parents were concerned. Not only that, in my day (cue violin!), the cinema would have a member of staff in the auditorium who would glare at you the moment you stepped out of line!!!!

Now cinemas don’t have any staff in there – not even the pre-pubescent oiks!!

It’s really sad because going to the cinema use to be such a wonderful experience, now, no matter how much I like the movie, I usually can’t wait to leave. 🙁

If I ever have kids, I’m going to have them ‘bound and gagged’ until they learn how to behave in a cinema. Kids now just wander in, sit down and then fling their legs across the seats in front… aaargh! it just makes me want to break them!

Anyway, I’ve had my ‘Victor Meldrew’ moment. If I’m ever up on a charge for breaking someone’s legs, you know why.
