I spent about four hours today going through half a dozen books on archaeology that I got out of the Robinson Library…the length of time this took had more to do with the fact that it was difficult to read them.
What possesses people to deface a book that belongs to a library? Especially in a University – surely it’s adults who borrow them?
Yes, I highlight and make notes in margins when I’m studying…but that’s because the books are bought and paid for by me!!
I wouldn’t dream of even using pencil and then erasing the marks – IF THE BOOK DOESN’T BELONG TO ME!
Why doesn’t the library flick through the books on return and then check who had them out last?.
It’s not good. 🙁
