Decisions, decisions…

Inspiration?

“So you mustn’t be frightened, if a sadness rises in front of you, larger than any you have ever seen; if an anxiety, like light and cloud-shadows, moves over your hands and over everything you do. You must realise that something is happening to you, that life has not forgotten you, that it holds you in its hand, it will not let you fall…”

ho-hum…they’re never easy…

Florence

Been back a week but not yet had time to unwind, what with a workshop in York; Congregations (dressing up like Harry Potter!); a “Beer Christmas lunch” at Fujiyamas, a christmas shopping day; 2 nights in the pub and a friend’s early Christmas get-together – I’m pooped!

Anyway, Florence was fab and we fully expect to go back next year. The intention was a girly-christmas-shopping trip – and I did get some presents (well, two!) – but most of the things I brought back were…ahem…for me. I even had to buy another bag to bring everything back. Yes, I’m skint but I had a fabulous time – its already in my diary to go back next year! 😀

All my Christmas shopping in now though, I’m not normally this late but I feel better about the fact that Christmas is looming…14 days and counting…!!

Go West Gig, Gala Theatre, 24 November 2006

JUST TO SAY – IT WAS CLASS!!

45 mins, then a 20 min break, then 1 hour 10 mins – 2 encores – amazing! 7 new songs (I particularly liked Faded); a great proportion of the classics (We Close Our Eyes; King of Wishful Thinking; Call Me; S.O.S; Goodbye Girl etc, etc.) and two covers – The Tracks of My Tears (which they’d previously released) and U2’s Vertigo – that was amazing, although I don’t think the theatre agreed as we could see sawdust falling from the ceiling due to the bass amps!

21st Anniversary tour – just as hot as they were back in 1985, even though I’ve seen them many times – I had an incredible evening. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – Peter Cox can wiggle to the music in front of me anytime – and all the people I went with certainly agree! 😀

Post Office RANT!

I receive a note to say that they couldn’t deliver something ‘recorded delivery’ as it needs a signature. As it happens, I know this particular item does require a signature so I’m impressed with their protocol. I wait the requisite 48 hours and go and collect it this morning…

..they can’t find it.

AAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

I thought ‘recorded’ meant that the item was….’recorded’?

Or am I just being logical again?

…chuckleheads. 🙁
