{"id":62,"date":"2006-08-24T00:16:22","date_gmt":"2006-08-24T00:16:22","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2006-10-16T15:00:49","modified_gmt":"2006-10-16T15:00:49","slug":"cinema_rant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ncl.ac.uk\/gbrown\/2006\/08\/24\/cinema_rant\/","title":{"rendered":"Cinema RANT!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I used to really enjoy going to the cinema, but now I&#8217;m lucky if I don&#8217;t have someone kicking the back of my chair, or talking throughout the entire movie, or checking their mobile phone in front of me so that I end up blinded every 2 minutes.  When I was younger I wouldn&#8217;t <em>dare<\/em> disrupt someone&#8217;s viewing pleasure, it would be more than my life was worth where my parents were concerned.  Not only that, in my day (cue violin!), the cinema would have a member of staff in the auditorium who would glare at you the moment you stepped out of line!!!!  <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Now cinemas don&#8217;t have any staff in there &#8211; not even the pre-pubescent oiks!!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>  It&#8217;s really sad because going to the cinema use to be such a wonderful experience, now, no matter how much I like the movie, I usually can&#8217;t wait to leave.  \ud83d\ude41<\/p>\n<p>If I ever have kids, I&#8217;m going to have them &#8216;bound and gagged&#8217; until they learn how to behave in a cinema.  Kids now just wander in, sit down and then fling their legs across the seats in front&#8230; aaargh! it just makes me want to break them!<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, I&#8217;ve had my &#8216;Victor Meldrew&#8217; moment.
