{"id":956,"date":"2023-02-03T15:24:11","date_gmt":"2023-02-03T15:24:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ncl.ac.uk\/grahamr\/?p=956"},"modified":"2023-02-09T11:55:07","modified_gmt":"2023-02-09T11:55:07","slug":"new-un-report-bracing-for-superbugs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ncl.ac.uk\/grahamr\/2023\/02\/03\/new-un-report-bracing-for-superbugs\/","title":{"rendered":"New UN Report: Bracing for Superbugs"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The report <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.unep.org\/resources\/superbugs\/environmental-action\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Bracing for Superbugs: Strengthening environmental action in the One Health response to antimicrobial resistance<\/em><\/a> provides evidence that the environment plays a key role in the development, transmission and spread of AMR.\u00a0Prevention is at the core of the action and the environment is a key part of the solution.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The spotlight report will be launched at the 6th meeting of the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amrleaders.org\/#tab=tab_1\" target=\"_blank\">Global Leaders Group on Antimicrobial Resistance<\/a> in Barbados, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). The online launch is set for Tuesday, 7 February 2023; 10:30 am AST\/9:30 am EST\/5:30 pm EAT\/3:30 pm CET.
