This project, which began in 2021 investigates the Portuguese varieties spoken in the UK by Portuguese speaking immigrants and their children. The project is currently in its initial pilot phase so we do not have much to report yet but we are interested in how Heritage Portuguese (spoken by children who have grown up in the UK), differs from that of their parents.
