The revised HTA Codes of Practice and Standards are due to come into force next week, Monday 3rd April.

Great news! The eLearning team have been working hard on the re-launch of the eLearning module and it’s almost ready. As soon as it’s available it will be announced here first, so stay tuned.
In the meantime, a big thank you to everyone who has put their time into this update. Including NU’s Audio Visual team, Lulu Cvetkovic who provided the voiceover, Ashley Reynolds our eLearning Technologist and Emma Raine for coordinating all of the changes.
The latest newsletter from the Health Research Authority has announced:
“In order to make it easier for researchers to find suitable samples, and to maximise the re-use of samples provided by patients, it has now been agreed across the UK that, when applications for REC review of RTBs are made, it will be a condition of the REC favourable opinion that RTBs are registered in the UKCRC Research Tissue Directory.”

The winner of the Biobank of the Year 2016 was announced yesterday at the UK CRC Biobanking Showcase.

Two of our Biobanks have been shortlisted for the 2016 UK Biobank of the year. The UK Primary Sjogren’s Syndrome Registry and CCLG Tissue Bank are in the running alongside four other candidates to win the title.
The winner will be announced at the UK Biobanking Showcase on the 16th November 2016, where attendees will be able to vote for the winner.
