We are aware that in spite of all your best efforts it may not always be possible to submit your thesis on time and that you will need to request an extension of the deadline date.
In that case, you will need to complete this form and return to ICM postgraduate admin at icm.pgstudentenquiries@ncl.ac.uk.
You will have to take into account that before an extension request is approved, there are conditions to be met such as an explanation as to why you need an extension, what your plan is for completion by the new deadline, … A complete overview of the conditions can be found on the Newcastle University student webpage.
International students will have to consider any possible consequences for their tier 4 visa if they apply for an extension, and all students need to take into account that they will be liable for further payment of tuition fees to cover the period up to the extended submission deadline.
