Postgraduate students have a wide variety of workshops to take part in. Some – for example inductions – can be mandatory while others are optional to choose from depending on which skills you want or need to develop during your research degree.
It’s likely you will be asked to register online to make sure the number of people attending isn’t too high. In addition, any workshops you have attended will be visible on your ePortfolio records and will be taken into account for your annual progression. In the ICM, we tend to monitor attendance for our weekly seminars this way as well.
If you want to know more, have a look at the FMS Postgraduate Research Student Development Programme. You can collect a paper copy from the ICM Main Office on the 4th Floor Leech building, Medical School.
