Student Welfare

If you’re experiencing difficulties – whether they’re personal or related to your studies – don’t feel as if you have to try and make it through by yourself.

First of all, there is support within the ICM and you can always contact someone from the PGR Team if there’s anything you want to talk about in confidence.

We realise that this isn’t always enough, however, so if that is the case, we’d recommend getting in touch with the Newcastle University Student Welfare department which offers a wide range of support services such as chaplaincy, counselling, physical health, … This assistance isn’t limited to office hours, there is also an out of hours service.

In addition, Newcastle University Student Union (NUSU) offers support to students in need via the Student Advice Centre.
