Why are you being asked to complete a learning agreement?
The University requires confirmation that you have received, understood, and accepted the expectations of your research degree programme.
It needs to be completed within the first month after your official start date, which makes it your very first deadline.
With the learning agreement you’ll usually also receive a confidentiality agreement. It’s likely that during your research project, you will contribute to generating intellectual property or that you will receive confidential information. The confidentiality agreement is a way to make sure you’re aware this information cannot be disclosed without permission.
