{"id":143,"date":"2017-10-26T14:26:18","date_gmt":"2017-10-26T13:26:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ncl.ac.uk\/icmpgr\/?page_id=143"},"modified":"2017-12-06T12:09:49","modified_gmt":"2017-12-06T12:09:49","slug":"outcome-of-examination","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ncl.ac.uk\/icmpgr\/outcome-of-examination\/","title":{"rendered":"Outcome of Examination"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>You will receive the comments and recommendations from the examiners and will be given an amount of time to work on your thesis &#8211; depending on the type of corrections that you&#8217;re being asked for.<\/p>\n<p>When\u00a0the thesis has been resubmitted, your examiners\u00a0will be sent the appropriate resubmission reports\u00a0which they should complete within 6 weeks of receiving the resubmitted version of your thesis. If you are required to attend a second viva, it\u2019s expected to be arranged within 3 months.<\/p>\n<p>Once\u00a0your examiner(s) have completed all the necessary paperwork, everything has been signed by the Dean of Postgraduate Studies, and it&#8217;s recommended that you are awarded the degree,\u00a0the Graduate School will ask you for two hardbound copies as well as a new e-copy. They will issue your pass list upon receipt of the requested copies of your thesis.<\/p>\n<p>Should you need more information on the format of the thesis, there are <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncl.ac.uk\/students\/progress\/assets\/documents\/GuidelinesfortheSubmissionandFormatofThesis-August2017.pdf\">guidelines<\/a> online, and so is the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncl.ac.uk\/students\/progress\/assets\/documents\/DepositLicenceforPrintandElectronicTheses.pdf\">Library Deposit Licence for Print and Electronic Theses<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, all information will be passed on to the congregations office who will send\u00a0the parchment version of your degree to your home address.
