{"id":242,"date":"2018-01-23T11:11:36","date_gmt":"2018-01-23T11:11:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ncl.ac.uk\/icmresearchfunding\/?p=242"},"modified":"2018-01-23T11:11:36","modified_gmt":"2018-01-23T11:11:36","slug":"dementias-platform-uk-dpuk-discovery-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ncl.ac.uk\/icmresearchfunding\/2018\/01\/23\/dementias-platform-uk-dpuk-discovery-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"Dementias Platform UK (DPUK) Discovery Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dementiasplatform.uk\/tools-resources\/dpuk-discovery-awards\">https:\/\/www.dementiasplatform.uk\/tools-resources\/dpuk-discovery-awards<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Deadline: 06\/04\/18<\/p>\n<p>Amount: \u00a350k<\/p>\n<p>Duration: Up to 12 Months<\/p>\n<p>Discovery Awards support new research proposals for analysis of DPUK&#8217;s cohort data to help further scientific understanding of the dementias.<\/p>\n<p>The DPUK Discovery Awards committee will assess applications based on the following criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Importance<\/li>\n<li>Originality<\/li>\n<li>Support for DPUK&#8217;s mission<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The DPUK Discovery Awards are open to researchers or academics based at universities or in industry.<\/p>\n<p>The lead applicant should have a salary in place for the duration of the award and at least one Early Career Researcher should be part of the research team.<\/p>\n<p>Institutional support \/ Supporting statement from host organisation<\/p>\n<p>A supporting statement from the host organisation, signed by an appropriate senior authority, including the contributions, financial or otherwise, that will be provided by the organisation and \/ or other sources, can be attached if appropriate.<\/p>\n<p>The application form can be viewed through the link above.
