Call 1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nihr.ac.uk\/funding-and-support\/funding-opportunities\/research-and-innovation-for-global-health-transformation-right-call-1\/8641\">https:\/\/www.nihr.ac.uk\/funding-and-support\/funding-opportunities\/research-and-innovation-for-global-health-transformation-right-call-1\/8641<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Delivering challenge-led research that will primarily benefit the health and wealth of the poorest individuals living in low and middle income countries (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.oecd.org\/dac\/financing-sustainable-development\/development-finance-standards\/DAC_List_ODA_Recipients2014to2017_flows_En.pdf\">LMICs<\/a>), the incoming NIHR Research and Innovation for Global Health Transformation (RIGHT) programme is part of the nation&#8217;s commitment to Official Development Assistance (ODA) and complements recent investment in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nihr.ac.uk\/funding-and-support\/funding-to-support-research\/funding-to-support-global-health\/\">NIHR Global Health Research Groups and Units<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The initial challenges announced by this new programme are in three areas of unmet need and underinvestment in LMICs \u2013<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>epilepsy, <\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>infection-related cancer and <\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>severe stigmatising skin diseases.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Full information will be released when the call opens on <strong>21 June 2018<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Interest can be registered in advance by\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:ccf-globalhealth@nihr.ac.uk\">email<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Note that likely also to be announced on 21 June are NIHR calls in:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Digital Medicine<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>End of Life Care and <\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Precision Medicine<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NIHR Research and Innovation for Global Health Transformation (RIGHT) &#8211;
