{"id":892,"date":"2019-07-03T14:49:11","date_gmt":"2019-07-03T13:49:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ncl.ac.uk\/icmresearchfunding\/?p=892"},"modified":"2019-07-03T14:49:11","modified_gmt":"2019-07-03T13:49:11","slug":"social-justice-fund-2019-applications-now-open","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ncl.ac.uk\/icmresearchfunding\/2019\/07\/03\/social-justice-fund-2019-applications-now-open\/","title":{"rendered":"Social Justice Fund 2019 &#8211; applications now open!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Social Justice Fund 2019 &#8211; applications now open!<\/strong><strong><\/p>\n<p>The Newcastle University Social Justice Fund is now open to applications that support work in the field of social justice as part of the University&#8217;s Engagement and Place Strategy.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200bNewcastle University is committed to social justice in all that we do and we are dedicated to working together to create a fairer and more just society.\u00a0The fund will develop a portfolio of successful relationships between the University and the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector.<\/p>\n<p>Funded projects will be focused\u00a0around one of the following social justice themes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Children, youth and lifecourse<\/li>\n<li>Poverty, welfare and social class<\/li>\n<li>Race, religion and migration<\/li>\n<li>Environment, nature and landscape<\/li>\n<li>Peace, reconciliation and human rights<\/li>\n<li>Housing, neighbourhood and region<\/li>\n<li>Gender, sexuality and relationships<\/li>\n<li>Health, well-being and care<\/li>\n<li>Education, work and employment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We are particularly interested in applications that will contribute to meaningful and mutually beneficial relationships between the University and VCSE partners and that are co-produced.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What funding is available?<\/strong><br \/>\nThe\u00a0minimum amount of funding that can be applied for is \u00a32000. The absolute maximum you can apply for is \u00a310,000; however, we envisage that most projects will be around \u00a35000.
