A Review on Facebook 
What is Facebook?
Facebook is an application to bring you closer to your friends and family. It does this by the features within Facebook such as the News Feed this is where when someone likes or shares something (including yourself) it will come up on your News Feed which then you can see who shared it or liked it and then do the same. There are many other features too that allow you to socialise with other people.
Advantages of Facebook
A great use of Facebook can be to help organise events with family, friends or for business purpose, you can do this by creating an event (this is a feature on Facebook) and then inviting people to that event this will then send them a notification telling them they have been invited to the event, which to that they can then respond with going, interested or not going. This is good because it’s fast and simple to use and can keep track of a big group easily to see how many people you have to cater too. Another advantage is that its keeps you in touch with friends and family, it does this with most of the features from the News Feed to the Facebook Messenger App. This is an application that is on mobile phones and it allows you to message individual people or create a group chat and message multiple people at once. This is great for keeping in touch with people as with just a few clicks you can send a message to your friend and then organise what you want to do.
Disadvantages of Facebook
The major disadvantage to Facebook is its privacy which in the past has created a stir which was due to sudden changes to their privacy settings although they have now simplified their privacy settings. This is an issue because when you put that personal information onto Facebook most people can access it and then know your personal information. Another issue with Facebook is that it is a big distraction and time consuming, this is an issue because if you have work to do it can stop you progressing in that work if you are easily distracted by Facebook. It is fairly easy to become distracted by Facebook as it has so much to offer such as the entertainment applications and game applications which will engage the user for long periods of time, alongside these the messenger app and Facebook video chat are also very time consuming. Another issue is that it requires technology to use Facebook and the internet which if you can’t get hold of or can’t afford the technology then you simply can’t use the application.
Conclusion
When Facebook is used with time management it can be great for bringing you together with friends and family and even for business needs such as marketing and networking. Although without the proper time management skills it can take up a lot of time in your life. But I would highly recommend the use of Facebook to anyone of all ages because it is that simple to use.
