Northumbria University on Saturday 15th June 2013. Places are free and booking is now open at the following webpage: http://libcampne.eventbrite.co.uk
Library Camp North-East is an unconference – a participative event that is more informal than a traditional conference – with a special interest in libraries. The sessions are discussions rather than presentations, and the topics are chosen by the participants. Visit our wiki at http://libcampne.wikispaces.com for more information. On this website you will also be able to see which session topics have already been proposed and suggest your own: just add your session idea(s) by using the “Edit” button on the right of the page.
Eating cake, chatting and socialising (networking) is also an important part of the event.Library Camp North-East has been inspired by similar events held elsewhere: Library Camp UK, Library Camp Leeds, and more recently Library Camp Sheffield and Library Camp London.
Everyone with an interest in libraries (of any sector) is welcome. If you are not able to join us but would like to follow the event on Twitter, we will be using the hashtag #LibCampNE.
