{"id":3716,"date":"2018-02-02T13:36:48","date_gmt":"2018-02-02T13:36:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ncl.ac.uk\/ltdev\/?p=3716"},"modified":"2018-08-31T12:03:34","modified_gmt":"2018-08-31T11:03:34","slug":"draft-education-strategy-consultation-launches","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ncl.ac.uk\/ltdev\/2018\/02\/02\/draft-education-strategy-consultation-launches\/","title":{"rendered":"Draft Education Strategy &#8211; consultation launches"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Since September 2016 a new University education strategy has been under development to replace the University\u2019s existing <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncl.ac.uk\/ltds\/assets\/documents\/str-ltse.pdf\">Learning, Teaching and Student Experience Strategy<\/a> (which was approved in 2013).\u00a0 This work has been led by Suzanne Cholerton, as PVC \u2013 Learning and Teaching, and has been carried out on the basis of a significant amount of work and consultation with colleagues across the University \u2013 including as part of the development of the new University Strategic Vision.<\/p>\n<p>In December ULTSEC considered a first draft of a new University Education Strategy, and agreed that the Draft Education Strategy should now go out across the University for consultation. \u00a0This draft too consultation is therefore available to all members of the University at this link \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/internal.ncl.ac.uk\/ltds\/assets\/internal-documents\/2018-02-01_Draft_Education_Strategy_for_consultation.pdf\">Draft University Education Strategy, to 2023<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The consultation is open until the end of this term.\u00a0 As part of this consultation the Draft Education Strategy will be discussed at Faculty Executive Boards, FLTSECs and Faculty Graduate School Committees.<\/p>\n<p>We will also be running three open forums at the Newcastle campus, where colleagues can come to discuss and feedback on the Draft Education Strategy. \u00a0And we will run webinar\/videoconferencing forums for all three of the University\u2019s branch campuses, so that all members of the University have the opportunity to contribute to the consultation.\u00a0 Details of these sessions and how to book on them will be published shortly.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re also keen to receive feedback directly from schools, subject areas and individual colleagues as well.
