However, it is necessary to go ahead with usability testing now to&nbsp;support&nbsp;the digital exam system procurement&nbsp;process.&nbsp; If you are interested and have capacity to participate in usability testing your contribution will be very valuable.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are looking for&nbsp;volunteers&nbsp;to test&nbsp;digital exam&nbsp;systems,&nbsp;to&nbsp;help&nbsp;assess&nbsp;how user friendly each one is.&nbsp;&nbsp;Testers\u2019&nbsp;feedback&nbsp;will&nbsp;be a key part of&nbsp;the evaluation stage of the tender&nbsp;process, and&nbsp;have a&nbsp;direct impact&nbsp;on&nbsp;which digital exam system the University introduces from next academic year.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Usability testing is open to all University staff.&nbsp;&nbsp;You can choose to test&nbsp;from the perspective of either:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>An exam administrator&nbsp;<\/strong>testing&nbsp;how to create&nbsp;exam&nbsp;settings, and&nbsp;manage marking and moderation processes.&nbsp;&nbsp;Approximately 90 minutes per system.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>An academic<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>testing how to&nbsp;create exam&nbsp;questions,&nbsp;and&nbsp;carry out&nbsp;marking and moderation.&nbsp; Approximately 2 hours per system.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To participate you need to commit to test\u00a0all\u00a0of\u00a0the systems that meet the\u00a0University\u2019s mandatory requirements,\u00a0which we\u00a0estimate\u00a0may be\u00a0between 2 and 4 systems.\u00a0 This is required to ensure that the evaluation process is fair, and we\u2019ll be able to confirm the number of systems being tested\u00a0the week before\u00a0the\u00a0testing begins.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Full instructions and video demonstrations will be provided for each testing task.
