{"id":6199,"date":"2021-05-05T16:54:26","date_gmt":"2021-05-05T15:54:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ncl.ac.uk\/ltdev\/?p=6199"},"modified":"2021-09-16T16:32:41","modified_gmt":"2021-09-16T15:32:41","slug":"learning-design-bootcamp-success","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ncl.ac.uk\/ltdev\/2021\/05\/05\/learning-design-bootcamp-success\/","title":{"rendered":"Learning Design Bootcamp Success"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A team of academic and professional services colleagues have successfully applied to take part in this year\u2019s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/learningdesignbootcamp.com\/bootcamp-2021\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Learning Design Bootcamp.<\/a>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Introduced in 2019,&nbsp;the&nbsp;bootcamp is a fantastic opportunity for teams to work with experienced colleagues from other institutions to design and develop modules&nbsp;of their choice.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The successful Newcastle University&nbsp;team are based&nbsp;in the School of Modern Languages and the Learning and Teaching Development Service,&nbsp;bringing lots of ideas and expertise to the process. The team&nbsp;will&nbsp;benefit from&nbsp;a range of workshops,&nbsp;the&nbsp;chance to connect with a&nbsp;community of practitioners and&nbsp;access to&nbsp;their own mentor and coach.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bootcamp will&nbsp;support teams with the&nbsp;implementation of online\/blended learning&nbsp;covering&nbsp;4 key aspects of learning design:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Student journey&nbsp;<\/li><li>Learning Design&nbsp;<\/li><li>Evaluation&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>Quality\u202f&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Nuala Davis, Learning Enhancement and Technology Projects Adviser is part of the successful team and\u00a0has shared how it is going so far:\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u201cEven though we are now less than half-way through the Bootcamp we already have lots to reflect on and bring forward into our practice.
