A big thank you to all our hosts who delivered wonderful online sessions to full or nearly full capacity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The week started with a welcome <a href=\"https:\/\/campus.recap.ncl.ac.uk\/Panopto\/Pages\/Viewer.aspx?id=8c464239-9e20-47bd-85d7-ad5100e9c002\">message from Tom Ward<\/a> to introduce the week, and continued with a really thought-provoking keynote session with Helen O\u2019Sullivan Chair of the Association for Learning Technology, and DVC at Chester University.&nbsp; Helen\u2019s session was called \u2018Preparing students for their future, not our past: How the pandemic pushed us past the tipping point into education 4.0.\u2019 And really dug deep into how education has changed and adapted since March 2020. Participants said they really enjoyed the session, <a href=\"https:\/\/campus.recap.ncl.ac.uk\/Panopto\/Pages\/Viewer.aspx?id=c5d9d2d1-613d-4762-b7e4-ad5d00ffba7b\">the session was recorded<\/a> (please note all video will require a Newcastle University log in and closed captions are currently being added) and can be viewed at any time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Independent researcher Helen Beetham delivered a fantastic two-part session on designing online activities for university learning. This was a great opportunity for participants to learn, discuss, and reflect on some of the work they have been doing and what others have been doing, to give the best possible education to students, especially in an ever-increasing digital world. Highlights from <a href=\"https:\/\/campus.recap.ncl.ac.uk\/Panopto\/Pages\/Viewer.aspx?id=8691e93c-d40a-4940-8a72-ad5d00ffc4d1\">part one<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/campus.recap.ncl.ac.uk\/Panopto\/Pages\/Viewer.aspx?id=dee72e8f-e1e7-41d7-9f25-ad6000ee5627\">part two<\/a> can be found online and viewed at any time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nuala Davis and Graeme Redshaw-Boxwell delivered two sessions called \u2018Saving time and enriching your courses with Canvas Commons\u2019. These sessions looked at how we can use Canvas Commons and how it can enhance our courses. Eight speakers did a series of lively presentations giving a cross university perspective of the work that has been done to move the hands on elements of a students experience to a digital platform. You can find all seven videos on <a href=\"https:\/\/campus.recap.ncl.ac.uk\/Panopto\/Pages\/Sessions\/List.aspx?folderID=c6aa8784-de34-420b-a13f-ad6000d831e5\">ReCap<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Throughout the week we have been releasing <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ncl.ac.uk\/ltdev\/2021\/07\/05\/the-art-of-the-possible-week-2021-case-stuides\/\">a series of new case studies<\/a> that will take you through some of the creative and innovative ways we have adapted since March 2020.
