This blog post works through the steps required to set up grading committees via CSV upload.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Steps to set up grading committees via CSV<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">To create a grading committee:\u202f<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Access the exam from the Canvas Assignment (you\u2019ll\u202fneed Teacher or\u202fTeaching assistant access on the Canvas Module).\u202f\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"2\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open\u202fthe\u202fassignment\u202fand\u202f<strong>click<\/strong>\u202fthe\u202f<strong>grey load button<\/strong>\u202fto access Inspera.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"3\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>From\u202fthe Deliver tab (or landing page)\u202fof the exam, scroll down to\u202fCommittees\u202fand click on the <strong>orange \u2018manage\u2019\u202fbutton<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"4\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click\u202f&#8217;Add\u202fcommittee&#8217; and select \u2018<strong>Add from CSV<\/strong>\u2019:\u00a0<br><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"blob:https:\/\/blogs.ncl.ac.uk\/89803ab5-b09c-4f8c-97e9-dd308273d2a5\">\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"5\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A box will appear, select to Download CSV with Student IDs using the hyperlink named \u2018<strong>Download CSV with candidate user IDs\u2019.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"6\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Within your downloads folder, you\u2019ll now have a CSV containing all Student IDs.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"7\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ensure that there are no headers.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"8\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Add the relevant committee name into column A alongside the student IDs you wish your committee to mark. For example, in this example we have Marker 1 grading student 12 and 13\u2019s submissions. Note: the example is showing placeholder student IDs only.\u00a0<br><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"blob:https:\/\/blogs.ncl.ac.uk\/5987b82c-541a-40d5-a50f-476508eade91\">\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"9\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Once all students are matched with a grading committee, save the file.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"10\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Important note:<\/strong> this must remain as a CSV file. You should not change the format to Excel.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"11\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select \u2018<strong>Upload CSV<\/strong> <strong>file\u2019.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"12\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Attach the file that you downloaded, edited and saved.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"13\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If the import has been successful a message will display as &#8216;Successful import&#8217;.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"14\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Your committees will be visible in the Committees area.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Adding graders to committees&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Within the Committees test setup, select a committee and click \u2018<strong>Edit graders\u2019, <\/strong>which will display at the bottom of the screen<strong>.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"2\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select the grader(s) to add to the committee. Click <strong>Finish<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"3\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Note:<\/strong> Only users that are added as contributors with the role, \u2018grader\u2019, will be displayed.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Removing \u2018markers\u2019 when using Grading Committees\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>It is important to check your contributors list and remove \u2018grader\u2019 status from colleagues who do not need to mark\/grade the test.<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By default, every colleague who accesses an Inspera test via Canvas will be added to it as a Grader. However, it is only colleagues who need to do the marking within the Grading Committee that should have the Grader role for the test. So, before marking begins <strong>the Grader role must be removed from any contributors who do not need to mark the test<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">To remove the Grader role from a test contributor:&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Find the contributor list at the top right of the test setup page.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"2\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click &#8216;Manage&#8217;.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"3\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A list of all the test contributors will be displayed, showing which roles each person has.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"4\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click the cog icon next to a contributor, and click the <strong>X<\/strong> icon next to the Grader role.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Confirming marks after using grading committees&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If there are non-markers still added as &#8216;graders&#8217; to the exam, Inspera will not let you confirm the marks.
