As colleagues, we know that interpreting this information effectively can make a real difference in supporting student success. To help you make the most of this powerful tool, we\u2019d like to announce the launch of a new webpage dedicated to helping colleagues better <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncl.ac.uk\/learning-and-teaching\/digital-technologies\/nula\/data-interpretation\/\">understand and use the data provided by NULA.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What\u2019s New?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This new resource has been designed to support colleagues by providing:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Examples of NULA data:<\/strong> using dummy data, there are practical examples of student engagement to explore and draw inferences from<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Tips for interpreting trends:<\/strong> videos are provided to support interpreting the data, highlighting key trends and data points, in each practical example<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Visualising key differences in the student profile view<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>As a reminder, the student profile in NULA offers two distinct views that provide complementary insights into engagement:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>2 weeks display under Modules:<\/strong> the metrics within the Modules section give a focused, short-term view of a student\u2019s engagement over the last two weeks, allowing you to spot recent trends and patterns.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Historic view under Engagement history:<\/strong> this offers a longer-term perspective, showing patterns and trends over time to identify consistent behaviours or shifts in engagement.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ncl.ac.uk\/ltdev\/files\/2025\/01\/image-11.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"940\" height=\"523\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ncl.ac.uk\/ltdev\/files\/2025\/01\/image-11.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7999\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Additional Support<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For further guidance, additional support is also available through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncl.ac.uk\/learning-and-teaching\/digital-technologies\/nula\/trafficlights\/\">Traffic Lights<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncl.ac.uk\/learning-and-teaching\/digital-technologies\/nula\/metrics\/\">Metrics<\/a> pages.
