In this post, you can learn about aspects of document design to help you create documents that are accessible from the go. By ensuring that your documents are designed in an accessible format when you create them, anyone using them have the opportunity to engage with the content from the get go. Making a document accessible does not need to happen after the fact. You can do it as you create, and make a difference from now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our Learning and Teaching Development Service (LTDS) have created a helpful crib sheet available that covers the do&#8217;s and don&#8217;ts to enable you to design documents for a diverse range of learners. Use bullet points for non-sequential lists and numbered lists for sequential items.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For Microsoft PowerPoint presentations, ensure a minimum of 18pt or larger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is recommended that you opt for Sans Serif fonts like Arial or Calibri, which are more accessible due to their clear and regular shapes. Popular fonts such as Tahoma or Arial are preferable over decorative ones. Minimize the use of bold and italic text where possible.
