I’ve just come across a report entitled “results of the online tool use survey undertaken by the JISC funded SPIRE project”. It has some interesting data on which social software tools people are using.

Interesting data, although I’m not sure about how valid it is to say that there is so little analysis ‘as I’m interested to hear what others interpret from the charts’ I might try that the next time I’m asked to run an evaluation or survey! I’m surprised at the numbers saying that they’re using Wikipedia – I’m guessing that they mean as readers rather than contributors, but what’s more worrying is the numbers saying that they use Wikipedia for studying….. Maybe they all need to do the ‘find a wikipedia article and validate it’ exercise!
