The project area covers the Northumberland Coast and the cross-border Tweed catchment (England and Scotland).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Aim:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>LIFE WADER will focus on the following issues which are impacting on the project area:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 The need to improve water quality within the Tweed catchment and Northumberland coast<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Excessive levels of macro algae in intertidal areas<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Control of invasive non-native species in river, dune and intertidal areas<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 The effects of human recreation on wildlife<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MRes students are invited design research projects to work with the multidisciplinary WADER team. Projects can be field, desk or lab based allowing students to work with researchers, practitioners and policy delivery teams.
