You can fly direct into Newcastle International Airport from London, Amsterdam and Paris. If you fly into London, Glasgow, Edinburgh or Manchester, you can easily reach Newcastle by train.
Newcastle is a very walkable city, with a metro and bus service. Uber and a number of taxi services operate in the city.
The conference will take place in the Frederick Douglass Centre.
There are hotels recommended by NewcastleGateshead Initiative (more being added soon), but there are many other options in the city, including major UK hotel chains (Travelodge, Premier Inn) and hostels.
