We hope you will join us to mark the occasion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\uddd3 <strong>Date:<\/strong> Wednesday, 23 July 2025<br>\ud83d\udd50 <strong>Time:<\/strong> 13:00\u201316:00<br>\ud83d\udccd <strong>Venue:<\/strong> Newcastle Cathedral (The Nave)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\">What is NEFHG?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>NEFHG is a regional network dedicated to exploring, preserving, and promoting the rich funerary heritage of North East England. It fosters collaboration, shares best practices, and supports inclusive approaches to understanding and caring for burial spaces and memorial traditions. As it grows, NEFHG aims to serve as a hub for knowledge exchange, advocacy, and public engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\">The Launch<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This launch event will bring together individuals and organisations with a shared interest in funerary heritage\u2014whether you&#8217;re involved in cemetery care, local history, cultural heritage, or simply want to learn more. It offers a welcoming space to connect, reflect, and help shape the group\u2019s future direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The afternoon will include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A formal introduction to NEFHG and its vision<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Short talks and a keynote or thematic panel<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Breakout discussions on pressing issues and emerging opportunities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Time for networking, refreshments, and informal conversation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>A full agenda and registration details will be shared soon. We are looking into organising morning fieldtrips to several local site of funerary interest, so stay tuned for details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udd17In the meantime, you can register to become a member by complete our <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.office.com\/e\/44bgwWHYiC?origin=lprLink\">membership form<\/a>.
