For a third and fourth-year project at Newcastle University, our students have become part of the Newcastle student racing team. This involves 15 mechanical engineering students split into two teams, mechanical and electrical.

The IMechE Formula Student Racing is an annual competition hosted at Silverstone, and is one of the most established engineering competition, in which the teams design and manufacture a formula one car to compete in static and dynamic events against over 100 university teams from around the world.

We are excited to get out car to Silverstone, however we won’t be able to afford components and manufacturing without the generous help from our sponsors.
