For a third and fourth-year project at Newcastle University, our students have become part of the Newcastle student racing team. This involves 15 mechanical engineering students split into two teams, mechanical and electrical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The IMechE Formula Student Racing is an annual competition hosted at Silverstone, and is one of the most established engineering competition, in which the teams design and manufacture a formula one car to compete in static and dynamic events against over 100 university teams from around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We are excited to get out car to Silverstone, however we won’t be able to afford components and manufacturing without the generous help from our sponsors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
