The Newcastle Institute for Social Renewal is the University\u2019s response to the challenges facing society today. By bringing together our research with a social purpose we can make a difference to how individuals and communities thrive in times of rapid transformational change. As one of Newcastle University\u2019s three Societal Challenge Themes it brings to life the University vision of a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncl.ac.uk\/about\/values\/civic\/index.htm\">civic university<\/a> with a global reputation for academic excellence.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Social Renewal is a wide and varied term, and sometimes it\u2019s not easy to understand what it <em>really<\/em> means. By hosting this blog we\u2019re hoping to show that Social Renewal is important to each and every one of us, in ways you might not realise.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">We\u2019re really interested in hearing your thoughts, so please get involved!
