Matt along with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncl.ac.uk\/hca\/staff\/profile\/sarahcampbell.html#background\">Sarah Campbell<\/a> teaches oral history on the second year undergraduate module, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncl.ac.uk\/undergraduate\/modules\/his2219\">Oral History and Memory<\/a>. So thank you to David Bavaird, chair of Trustees, Pearl Pearl Saddington, Community, Heritage and Events Manager, and Guy Moody, Operations Manager for their guidance and offers of h<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-35 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ncl.ac.uk\/oral-history\/files\/2017\/09\/DSC_3230-e1505989523380-169x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"118\" height=\"203\" \/>elp.<\/p>\n<p>The Old Low Light is a fascinating community history venue. Give it a visit if you are in t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-21 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ncl.ac.uk\/oral-history\/files\/2017\/09\/DSC_3187-e1505989433673-169x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"259\" \/>he area \u2013 they are a hospitable bunch and the exhibitions are great.<\/p>\n<p>Many of the exhibits are a result of co-production between Centre staff and members of the local community. Much talked about, but much less practiced, co-production is neither easy nor quickly achieved. What is particularly striking about the approach at Old Low Light is the variety of ways that Centre staff have worked with volunteers and the rich range of outcomes that have been achieved.
